Emily started at Baywood in 2013 as a kennel attendant and worked her way up to veterinary technician. She has a passion for surgery and anesthesia, which drove her to continue her education, including an “Everyday Anesthesia” course, to master her skills. Emily has worked closely with emergency and speciality doctors as a scrub nurse which taught her about orthopedics, oncology, and critical cases. In addition to being a technician, Emily coordinates all of the input and output of inventory. She takes great pride in providing an organized and proficient system, allowing our doctors to better care for our patients.

She is currently attending Barry University to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration specializing in Health Management. In the future she would like to manage her own veterinary hospital. Emily enjoys working with her co-workers and interacting with all our furry patients. In her free time she’s on the boat scuba diving or fishing. She also volunteers at church events and travels the world for mission trips.

Emily has a cat named Si that likes to play and be adventurous.
